The next step is to extend this work to compare the performance of a set of regional and global models to simulate a given dust storm in order to find weaknesses of the individual models. Intention of studying the possible definition of a score that summarizes the model performance. Include in the AEROCOM initiative assimilation work on estimating the aerosol emissions.
